The MACED organization seeks to work with community activists and organizations throughout the country who are interested in identifying and implementing community economic development projects. We are also very interested in the evaluation of these projects. Our preferred approach is the asset building approach as opposed to the more popular deficit approach, but we will work with whoever is interested in making their community a better place in which to live.
With the continued growth of the Latino population, the increase in its disposable income and the more widespread use of technology, we believe there are many opportunities to create sustainable and culturally grounded communities. Over the years, a number of communities have demonstrated how collective action and determination can indeed make where ever you choose to call home a better place in which to live.
